Hi!
I’m Teresa. Born in Lisbon and living in Toronto since 2017.

My website is almost all about heritage sites and old buildings. How did I come to this?

Loving math at an earlier stage pointed my path towards engineering studies instead of Architecture when I used to think I would one day find all the beauty in drawing and designing as an architect.

Truth is I’ve later found in engineering all the beauty of old buildings and the curious history and stories behind them. Working in the seismic assessment and retrofit solutions for an old masonry building for my Master thesis was clarifying for my professional vocation to apply structural design knowledge to retrofit and rehabilitate beautiful old buildings.

After that, I was lucky enough to get my dream job at Parques de Sintra - Monte da Lua, the best conservatiion company in the world for 7 years in a row, where I had the opportunity to contact with the most prestigious heritage sites in Portugal and work with a brilliant multidisciplinary team.
